We had a fantastic time at the book launch of I Built My House on a Volcano/Mi casa en el volcán on August 23 at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro. We read selections from the book in both English and Spanish, and Mia (our soon-to-be-thirteen-year-old) participated in the Spanish-language reading. There was a lively Question and Answer session with Joe, the author, Stacye, the illustrator, and Maria, the translator. Afterwords we enjoyed mixing and talking with people.
