I traveled to Iceland in March 2015. Iceland is a land in constant reformation because of volcanic activity, and evidence of volcanoes is everywhere: black sand beaches, lava fields, volcanic calderas, and active volcanoes. I hiked to the top of Hverfjall Volcano Caldera near Myvatn in the north (see photo), and visited an amazing canyon of lava rock formations.
While in Iceland, I donated copies of my book, I Built My House on a Volcano, to the Akureyri Public Library, the Reykjavik Public Library, and the National Library.
